Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-DE) and other Democrats on the committee held a news conference to call for a delay in the Senate’s confirmation vote on Scott Pruitt’s nomination to be administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They said a pending court case on Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s e-mails about the fossil fuel industry should be resolved before the vote takes place as the e-mails might be important in considering his nomination. close
