Virginia Capitol Building Mark Greenough gave a tour of Virginia’s capitol building, home to the oldest elected legislative body in the Western Hemisphere. The state’s capitol moved to Richmond in 1785, and Thomas Jefferson is credited with its design. Mr. Greenough explained the building’s significance marking American history from the conclusion of the American Revolution through the Civil War and into the 20th century.
