President Trump made brief remarks at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. after touring the institution during Black History Month. He thanked some of the leaders responsible for conceptualizing and opening the facility and he praised the inspiring exhibits. President Trump said that it was a reminder of the need to fight bigotry and hatred and cited the recent threats and vandalism against Jewish community centers. He also talked about Dr. Ben Carson, his nominee to be secretary of Housing and Urban Development. As he was departing, President Trump told a reporter details of a new executive order on immigration policy would soon be released. close
