A panel of foreign affairs and trade experts discussed the future of North American trade. Topics included the Trump administration’s trade policy, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and that week’s diplomatic trip to Mexico by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly. In addition, former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez delivered opening remarks during which he said the U.S.-Mexico relationship was at risk. He stressed the importance of NAFTA and the need to strengthen the agreement. close
