House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Greg Walden (R-OR) spoke to reporters following his committee’s markup of the Republican plan to replace the federal health care law. After more than 27 hours of debate, the committee voted 31-23 to approve their markup and send the measure to the House Budget Committee. Chair Walden was joined by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) and House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). close
