President Lyndon Johnson talked about an upcoming summit in Latin America, a meeting with the Soviets about fishing rights, Vietnam and a threatened railroad strike. Participants included Sol Linowitz, the U.S. Representative to the Organization of American States, Senate Interior Committee chairman Henry “Scoop” Jackson and Senate Labor Committee chairman Lister Hill. Also, Harvard University professor and Pulitzer Prize winning author Fredrik Logevall talked about significant 1967 events and LBJ and foreign policy.
