FBI Director James Comey spoke at a dinner held in his honor by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance. He outlined the FBI’s strategy priorities and the ongoing tension between privacy and public safety concerns in terms of data encryption and what the intelligence community can and cannot legally access over the course of investigations. Director Comey was then interviewed by former Bush and Obama administrations National Counterterrorism Center Director Michael Leiter, and took questions from those in attendance. close
