Former Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Orrin Hatch (R-UT) said Democrats lost the presidential election and needed to stop begrudging President Trump his Supreme Court pick. He said Democrats were forcing a vote on moving the nomination forward as a protest to the Republicans blocking then-President Obama’s pick for the same Supreme Court seat. Senator Hatch said Republicans were just following tradition of blocking nominees during the last part of a president’s term. close
