Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) delivered keynote remarks at a discussion focused on human rights abuses by the administration of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both senators said Congress needed to continue its work in pursuing an aggressive stance toward Russia and its leaders. After their remarks, Vladimir Kara-Murza, a prominent Russian dissident who survived two assassination-by-poisoning attempts, spoke and participated in a panel discussion on the Putin regime’s human rights abuses. close
