President Trump and Jordan’s King Abdullah held a joint news conference in the Rose Garden following their bilateral meeting. The president strongly condemned a deadly gas attack in Idlib, Syria, which he characterized as an affront to humanity carried out by the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He also spoke about the U.S.-Jordan relationship, and called Jordan a strong partner in the fight against terrorism, as well as providing humanitarian assistance to refugees fleeing areas of conflict. close
