The Stimson Center hosted a panel discussion with trade and foreign policy experts on U.S.-China economic relations. Speakers provided an assessment of the first in-person meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Palm Beach, Florida. The summit concluded with both countries agreeing to a “100-day plan” to improve trade ties and bilateral cooperation. Other topics addressed included the U.S. trade deficit with China, infrastructure investment and currency manipulation. close
