Sean Spicer briefed reporters and responded to questions on a range of issues, including whether Russia had prior knowledge of the previous week’s chemical attacks in Syria. While talking about the attacks, which the administration was blaming on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Mr. Spicer said that “Adolf Hitler didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,” a comment at odds with Hitler’s extermination of Jews during the Holocaust using gas chambers. Later he clarified the statement. Mr. Spicer also talked about U.S.-China relations, North Korea, efforts to replace the Affordable Care Act, and tax reform. close
