Misty Copeland, the first African America principle dancer in the history of the American Ballet Theatre, talked about her life and new book, Ballerina Body: Dancing and Eating Your Way to a Leaner, Stronger, and More Graceful You. In her book, she gives exercise and recipe examples to achieve a toned and healthy body. She also shares her struggles with negative body image and poor nutrition.

Misty Copeland entered the national spotlight in 2014 when an advertisement featuring Copeland and a young girl’s voice reading actual rejection letters she received from ballet programs went viral. close
