The two leaders discussed the U.S, missile strike in Syria and Russia’s alleged involvement in the U.S. elections. Secretary Tillerson said U.S.-Russia relations were at a “low point” and said a low level of trust exists between the two countries. Regarding Russia’s role in the 2016 U.S. election, Mr. Lavrov said the U.S. had provided no proof of interference, despite many requests by Russia for evidence.
