Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer held a conference call Tuesday ahead of President Trump’s trip to Wisconsin to sign an executive order directing federal agencies to recommend changes to a temporary visa program used to bring foreign workers to the United States to fill high-skilled jobs. The so-called "Buy American, Hire American" executive order will be signed during President Trump’s visit to Snap-On Tools in Kenosha, Wis. Sen. Schumer used the conference call to highlight ways in which he feels the Trump Administration has failed to support the American worker, including approving the keystone pipeline being built with foreign steel and refusing to push for new buy America requirements in latest Water Resources Development Act legislation. close
