Key House and Senate staff members talked about the likelihood of major tax policy changes in 2017 as well as the various tax options and political implications. Speakers included the senior tax counsel to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and the Senate Finance Committee’s chief tax counsel. Joining them was former Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who also served as the chief economist on the White House Council of Economic Advisors during the George W. Bush administration.

The forum was part of an all-day conference of the Institute of International Finance. close
