Historian Ralph Siegel talked about the Battle of Trenton and toured the battlefield in downtown Trenton, New Jersey. The Battle of Trenton marked a turning point for American troops early in the Revolutionary War. American troops under the command of General George Washington attacked Hessian soldiers camped in Trenton on Christmas Day 1776.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2017 LCV Cities Tour” in Trenton, New Jersey, from April 15-21 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
