The Roebling Legacy Clifford Zink talked about his book The Roebling Legacy, in which he recounts the history of the Roebling family and its role in the industrial revolution in Trenton, New Jersey. The man behind the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge was John A. Roebling, the inventor of wire rope. With a growing demand for his rope, Roebling built his manufacturing complex in Trenton, New Jersey.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2017 LCV Cities Tour” in Trenton, New Jersey, from April 15-21 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
