President Obama Profile in Courage Award
Singer and songwriter James Taylor performed several songs before the former president was presented with the award.
President Obama was awarded the John F. Kennedy Library’s Profile in Courage Award. During his remarks, he called on Congress to have courage on Republican efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Caroline Kennedy and her son, Jack Schlossberg, presented President Obama with the annual award in recognition of his work on health care, climate change, and relations with Cuba.
