Shortly after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) opening meeting, FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly responded to questions from reporters on the commission’s proposed rule changes on repealing open internet rules. Commissioner O’Rielly voted with Chair Pai to review open internet rules mandating internet service providers such as Comcast and Verizon treat all web traffic equally. The party line vote was the first step to repealing the rules known as net neutrality. close
