At a joint news conference with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, President Trump told reporters that though he respected the move by the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel, the investigation was a “witch hunt” dividing the nation. He was also asked about whether he pressured former FBI Director James Comey to drop the investigation into Michael Flynn. He later explained why he fired Mr. Comey and said he was “very unpopular with most people.” close
