First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon launched the Scottish National Party’s election platform to supporters at event in Perth, Scotland. She announced a vote on Scottish independence would take place at the end of the negotiations between the U.K. and the European Union on Brexit, saying too much was at stake with Brexit for Scotland not to be part of the process. She urged supporters to re-elect Scottish National Party members in order to have a stronger voice during the Brexit negotiations. She was introduced by SNP Parliamentary leader Angus Robertson and later took questions from the media.
