House Republicans discussed the Creating Hope & Opportunity for Investors, Consumers & Entrepreneurs Act, also known as the Financial CHOICE Act. The Financial CHOICE Act would repeal and change significant portions of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, including ending “too big to fail” policies, repealing the Volcker Rule - which prohibits federally insured banks from trading with depositors' money - and placing funding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) under congressional control. close
