The House Armed Services Committee met to mark up the fiscal year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, the annual authorizing legislation for the Defense Department and its constituent military branches. In part 2, members adopted non-controversial amendments to various subtitles of the legislation, though members debated at length two amendments on reforming the court-martialing system for service members accused of sexual assault. close
