Executive Director Jan Turnquist gave a tour of Orchard House, providing a glimpse into the Alcott family’s life in Concord, Massachusetts. Purchased by Amos Bronson Alcott in 1857, Orchard House became the home of Mr. Alcott and his family after several years of constant moving. It was here that Bronson Alcott’s daughter, Louisa May Alcott, wrote her novel Little Women on a desk built for her by her father.
