British Prime Minister Theresa May delivered a statement before the House of Commomns regarding the 2017 G-20 Summit, which had recently concluded in Hamburg, German, and fielded questions from members of Parliament. The Prime MInister told the House the U.K. reaffrimed its commitment to the Paris Agreement climate change pact, and said she personally spoke to President Donald Trump and urged him to consider rejoining the accord. Prime Minister May also discussed her plans to work with the European Union, United States, Japan, and China on free trade deals after Brexit. She also talked about her conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G-20 on using China’s leverage to supress North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. close
