Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and several other House and Senate Democrats announced their party’s new economic agenda called “A Better Deal.” Senator Schumer said the party with this plan would show America that Democrats are the party “on the side of working people.” The plan focuses around three main goals: higher wages, lower costs, and the tools for a 21st century economy. close
