The World Affairs Council in Washington, DC hosted a discussion on the diplomatic and economic blockade of Qatar, featuring Meshal bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari ambassador to the United States. Ambassador al-Thani first gave remarks covering the brief history and effects of the blockade, which started in June 2017. He then answered questions from a moderator and the audience about the blockade, as well as on Qatar’s relationship with its Arab neighbors and the United States. close
