Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke about the upcoming Senate vote on the Republican plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. He called the motion to proceed vote a “critical first step to move beyond the Affordable Care Act’s failures.” He also said “we have a real opportunity to keep those commitments by voting to begin debate and ultimately to send a smarter health care solution to the president’s desk.” During Senator McConnell’s remarks, protestors in the gallery disrupted the session. close
