The U.S. Insitiute of Peace hosted a panel discussion on combating ISIS in Iraq and what can be done to protect minority communities in the country. Panelists included an Iraqi parliament member and the Kurdistan regional government’s representative to the United States. Iraq’s Ambassador to the U.S. also gave brief remarks at the top of this event. Religious freedom, equality rights for women and humanitarian efforts were among the topics discussed. close
