Panelists talked about countering violent extremism in the United States. Seamus Hughes, deputy director of George Washington University’s Program on Extremism, provided an update on the federal government’s Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) initiative. He also offered recommendations for effectively engaging with Muslim American communities. In addition, Quilliam International North America executive director Muhammad Fraser-Rahim outlined his organization’s efforts to monitor and combat violent extremism. close
