Iranian President Rouhani Swearing-In Ceremony

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was sworn in for a second term at his inauguration ceremony before a gathering of dignitaries from more than 100 countries. In his address, he commented on the nuclear agreement reached in July 2015, accusing the U.S. of not adhering to its obligations, and he urged Europe to defend the agreement. He vowed Iran would never violate the accord and would not remain idle in the face of U.S. noncompliance. The Iranian president also said the time for imposing sanctions on his country has ended and called for negotiations to deal with these issues.
