Telephone lines were open for viewer call and social media comments on President Trump’s remarks on violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. At a protest of the removal of Confederate statues, several clashes between protestors and counterprotestors erupted, with mostly minor injuries occurring, but as the rally dispersed, a car drove into a group of counterdemonstrators, killing one and injuring several others. Niall Stanage also spoke by phone about the White House response to the violence. close
