Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made remarks on the 2016 International Religious Freedom report. Secretary Tillerson outlined some of the highlights of the report. In his comments he mentioned some of “the more egregious and troubling examples” including Iran, Turkey, China, Bahrain, and the Islamic State, which is accused of genocide in the report. Secretary Tillerson also declined to answer shouted questions about any discussions with North Korea, whose leader had recently announced he would hold off on plans to fire missiles at Guam. close
