Peter Strohschneider reexamined Vannevar Bush’s ideas on the relationship between government and science. The talk was followed by a panel discussion. In 1945, American engineer, inventor, and World War II science administrator Vannevar Bush submitted a report to President Truman titled, Science, The Endless Frontier. The report had been commissioned by President Franklin Roosevelt and called for coordinated government support of science in the future. close
