President Trump held a joint news conference at the White House with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto. President Trump updated reporters on Tropical Storm Harvey recovery efforts in south Texas, and answered questions on building a wall along the U.S. southern border, relations with Russia, and his pardon of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The president told reporters that he hoped he would not not have to shut down the government over the border and repeated that Mexico would pay for the wall. close
