Two House Armed Services subcommittess held a hearing examining navy readiness, training, and leadership following the fatal USS Fitzgerald and USS McCain collisions. Witnesses included Admiral Bill Moran, vice chief of naval operations, and John Pendleton who directs defense force structure and readiness at the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Following the hearing, Representatives Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Robert Wittman (R-VA) talked with reporters. close
