Environmental researchers and activists spoke in a news conference to announce the release of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s report on the use of pesticides in American agriculture. The report showed that pesticide use has more than doubled since the release of the anti-pesticide book Silent Spring in the early 1960's. The speakers discussed the ramifications of the increasing amount of pesticides on the environment and public health. close
