House Session The House debated and passed several Department of Homeland Security bills. One requires DHS to conduct an annual homeland security assessment on the terrorist threat to the U.S. Members also debated, and later unanimously passed, a measure to mark the 60th anniversary of the “Little Rock Nine.” The bill expands the boundary of the Little Rock Central High School Historical Site where on September 25, 1957, nine African-American children, escorted by federal troops, integrated the Arkansas high school. Lawmakers also continued work on amendments to a measure that provides funding for eight of the 12 appropriations bills that fund the federal government. close
