House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) briefed reporters and responded to questions on her party’s legislative agenda. She called Senate Republicans' latest proposal to repeal the Affordable Care Act “the worst,” and said that House Democrats have a good chance of stopping the plan. The bill, sponsored by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA), would take money that subsidizes health insurance coverage and instead provide it to states in the form of block grants. Other topics included President Trump’s plan to end a program to allow some undocumented immigrants to stay in the country and the potential for an infrastructure bill. close
