German Chancellor Merkel Post-Election News Conference

One day after winning a fourth term in the German elections, Chancellor Angela Merkel held a news conference. She acknowledged her party’s victory was overshadowed by the rise of the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AFD), which came in third place and will hold a prominent voice in the German parliament, known as the Bundestag.
