Governor Rick Scott (R-FL) spoke to reporters at the White House on the ongoing recovery efforts in Florida and Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. He said that while his state continues its own recovery efforts from Hurricane Irma, his administration would assist the people of Puerto Rico with their recovery. He added that Florida would send state law enforcement officers to assist in clearing debris and distributing supplies. He also said that his state would provide shelters and schooling for Puerto Ricans who relocate to Florida. close
