British Prime Minister Theresa May gave the closing speech at the British Conservative Party’s annual fall conference in Manchester, England. She announced plans to introduce legislation to fix what she called the U.K.'s broken energy market and aimed to use her remarks to boost the party’s morale after a disappointing election campaign in June. Halfway through her remarks, a British comedian known for pranking powerful people, walked up to the front of the room and handed the Prime Minister a P45 form, the U.K.'s version of a “pink slip.” close
