The Heritage Foundation hosted a discussion with Robert Cook, president and chief executive officer pf the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). FINRA is the largest independent securities firm regulator in the U.S. and governs the activities of nearly 4,000 brokerage firms and almost 650,000 registered securities representatives. Mr. Cook outlined the priorities of the organization, cybersecurity threats to financial institutions, and efforts to provide greater transparency to the public.
