Vice President Mike Pence announced that President Trump had approved a major disaster declaration for the state of California due to ongoing wildfires in the state. He was joined by emergency personnel, first responders, and House Majority Leader McCarthy (R-CA) at the California Office of Emergency Services. The wildfires, burning in several parts of Northern California, had killed at least 13 people and destroyed nearly 2,000 homes and businesses. close
