Secretary of State Rex Tillerson delivered an address on U.S.-India relations and afterward answered questions from moderator John Hamre. Secretary Tillerson called for the U.S. and India to expand their strategic partnership. He said the U.S. wants to help strengthen India’s military capabilities and improve the security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically with Japan and Australia. In addition, Secretary Tillerson condemned the reported abuses against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar (Burma), saying if the accounts were true, then someone will be held responsible. close
