Military attorneys from the five armed service branches spoke at a forum examining sexual assault in the military. They discussed their experiences representing clients of sexual assault and their thoughts on improving the military’s victims' counsel programs. This was part of a meeting of the Defense Advisory Committee that was created by Congress in 2016 to investigate and advise the Secretary of Defense and congressional armed services members on matters of sexual misconduct.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Investigation, Prosecution, and Defense of Sexual Assault in the Armed Forces was created by Congress in 2016 to advise the Defense Secretary and congressional armed services committees on the investigation, prosecution and defense of allegations of sexual misconduct in the military. close
