The witnesses analyzed disclosure rules for online political ads and the implications of Russia purchasing Facebook ads during the 2016 election. Twitter announced on October 24, 2017, it would begin labeling political ads on its platform and require campaigns and organizations to disclose who bought the ad and the total amount spent. close
