Ambassador Strauss spoke to a luncheon audience on U.S.-Russian relations and the challenges facing the Russian Republic in the near future as it continues political and economic reform. In his remarks, he recommended the U.S. provide help to the Russian Republic not out of obligation or charity, but for simple self-interest in sustaining political reform in the former Cold War adversary.
