Holocaust survivor Emanuel “Manny” Mandel recalled his experiences as a young boy after the Nazi’s occupied his hometown of Budapest, Hungary, in March of 1944. Mr. Mandel and his family were eventually transported to Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in northern Germany, the same camp in which diarist Anne Frank died. After six months in the Nazi camp, Manny Mandel was taken to Switzerland, spent four years in Palestine, then moved to the United States in 1949. close
